Guide: Using Photoshop’s Healing Tools

On this Photoshop tutorial (part of a beginner’s series), glamour and fashion photographer Nino Batista takes a look at the different healing brushes in Photoshop.

Batista stats with the spot healing brush and takes a look not only on the general use of this brush but also on the different options you have on the top Photoshop panel. The spot healing brush does exactly what it’s name implies – heals spots and basically any highly local blemish that you would like to remove. The regular healing brush on the other hand allows you to have much more control over the healing process by sampling from one spot and applying it to another. As always Batista of course highly suggest that you will work on any sort of healing using layers and not directly on the background layer.

This isn’t the first time we are looking into healing brushes. We previously looked at a video by Pye from slrlounge entitled “Quick Tip for Using the Healing and Clone Brushes in Photoshop“.
