Retouch A Sunrise Landscape Photograph With Lightroom And Photoshop

Photographer Glyn Dewis recently published a video looking at the retouch process of a sunrise landscape image in both Photoshop and Lightroom.

Dewis starts with a quick photography tip for landscape shooters (which we have been using ourselves for the past few years). When taking a landscape photo such as a sunrise or sunset for example – expuse for the skies. This means that the ground will be underexposed in your image. In post you will be able to use the RAW file to get the details from the shadows (using the shadows sliders and some play with the highlights slider).

Dewis demonstrates the entire retouch process step by step in Lightroom including adding some drama, colors and more. The only part done in Photoshop (starting at around 12:30) was removing a wire which is easier in Photoshop.
