Working with Mixed Light Sources in Photoshop

On this video photographer Nino Batista looks at how you can balance areas of mixed light temperatures using Photoshop.

Sometimes either by mistake, lack of time or any other reason you might happen to shoot an image or a series of images which includes different temperature light sources. This is’t necessarily bad – but if you don’t like this – there should be a quick way to balance in mixed lighting in post when you feel it’s needed – and this is the method Barista is showing in this video using Camera RAW.

This isn’t the first time we looked at the subject of mixing different lights. In the past we published three videos by J. P. Morgan on this topic (but in this case the subject was photography and working with lights and not post production). You can check it out on How to Properly Balance Light Bulbs with Strobes and how to combine Daylight with LED Lights and finally Lighting the Old Train – Mixing HMI and LED Lights.
