How to Add Cool Lighting Effects in Photoshop

On this video tutorial Aaron Nace from Phlearn demonstrates how to use the new and advanced lighting effects in Photoshop.

There is a relatively new tool in Photoshop which you can find in filter>render>lighting effects.
This new tool has 3 main light sources:
  • Point (flat light, similar to a flashlight).
  • Spotlight (angled light).
  • Infinite (Infinitely bright light, you can choose the angle).

On this video Nace takes an image of a wall and and a portrait and creates a composite while adding different types of lighting effects. Finally Nace also demonstrates how to add a drop shadow to a painting on a wall and play with bevel and emboss options as well as many other details.
