Don’t be Afraid – How To Use Curves in Photoshop

On this short video tutorial Photoshop Principal Product Manager Bryan O’Neil Hughes takes a look at how to use curves on both Camera RAW and Photoshop.

When talking about curves in Photoshop lots of people move uncomfortably in their chairs. However on this video Hughes tries to ease this subject and explain the basics that will help you get into the subject without too much stress.

We have of course looked at curves and curve adjustment layers in Photoshop many times in the past including “How to Change Colors in Photoshop“, “Finding Hidden Exposures in Photoshop” and “Color Correction and Color Matching Using Curves“. Hughes also mentions blend modes in Photoshop on this video and if you are unfamiliar with this subject we highly recommend that you watch this video by Jesús Ramirez.
