Mastering the Clone Stamp Tool in Photoshop

On this video Aaron Nace from Phlearn demonstrates how to fully master one of the most important tools in  Adobe Photoshop – the clone stamp.

The clone stamp allows you to copy areas of an image and its a great tool for fixing things such as skin blemishes for example. Nace talks about the clone stamp options and how you can make your actual use of this tool optimal.

As a general rule, it is best to use the clone stamp tool on new layer so you can transform the selection later on. In this way you will be able to do things such as  rotate, skew, transform and warp the selection to make it fit better in your image. Nace also give a very useful tip about working with the trans[percy lock which is used to paint over a specific area (you can see this in the video – 9:30~).
