How to Use a Dual Reflector Setup

In this video, photographer Jay P. Morgan from the Slanted Lens is giving us a look at lighting a commercial created by Joel Ackerman of Ackermania with some interesting challenges and using a dual reflector setup.

Morgan is shooting in the LA zoo in a “mummy-infested cave” and he is demonstrating how to use two reflectors to double-bounce light. The location is complex and getting light inside the cave is not simple. Morgan uses both ambient light with the reflectors and a photoflex NorthStar lite as a fill.

The interesting technique shown here is bouncing light between two large reflectors into the cave – resulting in a very natural look.
