Aputure continues to innovate in the lighting category and today it officially introduced the second generation LS 300d II COB workhorse. This new updated version is more sleek and powerful and brings in a whole host of improvement that has been long-requested by users.
The 300d II was first shown during NAB this year and now the new model is finally reaching the market. This new high power light has a very long list of improvements – some are major like the 20% brighter COB than its already powerful predecessor (with 5500K color temperature) and super high CRI/TLCI rating (around 97 which is corroborated by newsshooter’s recent review of the light).
There is also an all-new, hyper-efficient 55° reflector a completely redesigned all-in-one silent control box, a new quick-release Lightning Clamp, 50% power with a single battery, supporting the new Sidus Link Mobile App, a new and better-designed yoke and new stronger and better carrying case.
There are all sort of smaller touches like special effects button on the remote (and special effect in the unit of course), hidden wireless antenna in the controller, 4 dimming curves, 6m NEUTRIK cable (plus DMX 512 control), new military-grade strap and much much more.
Aputure also released the new Aputure-lantern which is designed to light a full room with the new LS 300d II with a very soft light.
Pricing is set at $1100 on B&H (or $1200 on Amazon) starting from the end of July 2019. The Aputure-lantern cost just under $100.
