Digitalfoto Cinemech Video Production Camera Cart (IBC 2023) High end video production cart

During IBC 2023 Digitalfoto showcased a new series of video production carts called the Digitalfoto MCS. This new series comes in 3 sizes and has an entire range of different accessories.

Digitalfoto MCS Video Production Cart

Digitalfoto has been working on some pretty interesting new products and the MCS series of video production carts is one of them. They come in either 2mm or 6mm thick aluminum variants (honestly for most users the 2mm should be more than enough and cost/weight less). You also have 3 sizes

All three sizes (75cmx50cm, 960x60cm, and 120x60cm) come with many dozens of threaded connections (including ones with arri locating pins) which allows the users to attach an endless amount of accessories. The carts weigh in at between 35-51kg and they can carry between 35-450kg of payload.

The carts come with 8″ or 10″casters and they include small wheels for carrying the cart when folded and can be folded and opened very quickly for travel.

DigitalFoto V360PRO

Digitalfoto already has a 360 spinning rig for smaller products but the new version shown at IBC is designed for heavier payloads, actually much heavier payloads as it can quite easily carry a person and have the camera spin around him or her.

This setup is very robust and made from a combination of aluminum and stainless steel and it can carry up to 200kg / 440 lbs, it can carry at least a 3kg camera and has a plate with a 50cm / 19.6″diameter. It’s possible to connect counterweights to the pole as well as a background and frame as optional accessories.

It’s certainly a niche product but it is actually something that makes us quite excited as product and food shooters.

Pricing and availability

When it comes to pricing, the Digitalfoto MCS Camera Cart starts at around $2200 while the V360PRO currently sells for around $500.
