On this video tutorial Michael Woloszynowicz (from vibrantshot) takes a look at how to sharpen portrait, landscape or architecture images in Photoshop with a unique variation of high-pass sharpening.
According to Woloszynowicz this approach prevents the heavy fringing and crunchiness typically caused by using the high pass filter and works well for skin texture and other fine details in images.
On the video Woloszynowicz mentions a free Photoshop action for doing some of the sharpening which takes several stages – Click here to download the action.
