How to Change Hair Color in Photoshop

On this video Aaron Nace from Phlearn takes a look at an interesting topic – changing the color of a model’s hair.

Changing hair color in Photoshop might sound like a strange idea but if you do want to try Nace does have some good tips for you in this guide. First, apparently it is  much easier to make hair dark than light. In order to change color a “Selective Color” adjustment layer is probably one of your best options. If you are looking to make the hair black use the Hue/Saturation Adjustment layer and bring the saturation close to zero.

We have looked at changing colors of objects in Photoshop many times in the past including 3 different videos by Nace on different aspects of colors such as changing skin color, changing colors of general objects (such as cars for example), and a more in-depth look at working with colors for portraits.
