How to Mix Camera Raw with the Original image

On this quick video Colin Smith from PhotoshopCAFE shows two ways to mix an image that was edited in Camera RAW with itself.

Camera RAW is an amazing tool but you can’t use it as a layer in a normal way – on this video Smith shows two ways to do this task – the first is by working on the Camera RAW and than use edit>fade.

Now we have tried this method and the “fade” option was greyed out so we are not sure what we have done wrong. The second option was to convert the image to smart object and work on the Camera RAW and than press the small lines on the side (you can see where exactly on 2:30). This method actually worked well for us.

So here you have it – very simple way to mix/blend and work on the Camera RAW as a sort of layer.
