Introduction to Photo Realistic HDR in Photoshop

On this video Photoshop senior product manager Bryan O’Neil Hughes takes a quick look at creating photo realistic high dynamic range images using Adobe Photoshop.

We often associate HDR to overly exaggerated and even surrealistic type images. However this has nothing to do with the basic HDR technique and if you like you can use it to create much more realistic looking images with a dynamic range which can not be achieved by a single exposure of your camera.

The steps in this guide are very simple but if you are interested in a more in-depth look at HDR – make sure you check out LensVid’s HDR section including a Basic HDR Tutorial by  John Telthorst, 32Bit HDR in Adobe Photoshop CC by Rafael Concepcion, Creating HDR from a Single Image in Lightroom by Gavin Hoey and much more.
