How to Use as Green Screen (Plus Cool Tips)

On this video, Ryan Connolly from Film Riot  takes a (renewed) look at using a green screen, from the shooting stage and whole through the editing process.

Green screen has been in used in the film (and broadcast) industries for years. In the past it required pretty sophisticated and expensive tools, however things have changed. Green screen might still not be something that video beginners will use on a daily basis but its no longer reserved only for professionals. If you are willing to invest a bit and spend some time in post production – this can actually be something that you can do and it can improve your video production considerably.

You can buy a green screen and stand on Amazon for around $80 (but do remember that you will need enough lights to evenly light the screen and more lights for your talent).

We have covered green screen in the past with a video by Matt Forbes from Telestream who covered a few different aspects of green screen use.
