StyleShoots – Robotic Photogrpher can Magically Removes Image Background

Large consumer manufacturers and retilers find it difficult to shot and publish online hundreds and sometimes thusands of new products each year. the Netherlands based tech company StyleShoots, has developed unique device for the e-commerce market which which recently made its way to NY.

According to StyleShoots companies like Tommy Hilfiger, Marks & Spencer, Perry Ellis, Valentino, G-Star and Macy’s are already using the StyleShoots machine to cut time and costs for high-resolution product photos for their e-commerce and catalogues.

The StyleShoots includes:

  • Steel and glass structure
  • Daylight lamps
  • Canon 5D mkII DSLR camera
  • iPad with controller app
  • Embedded Mac mini and electronics
  • Active glass LED backlight
  • Custom developed software

The smart robotic shooter retails for around $80,000 – not exactly cheap change, but looking at the client list of styleshoots you get a sense of the target audience of this product.
