Earlier this week Nanlux introduced the Evoke 900C a high-end professional 940W RGBLAC COB spotlight that has a huge temperature range, outstanding color accuracy, and ample output with a similar high-end build as the NANLUX Evoke 1200 it currently sits in a category of its own.
Nanlux Evoke 900C
Back in IBC 2022 we got a first glimpse of the Evoke 1200B and now a new member joins the Evoke family – the Evoke 900C. While it is certainly not as powerful as the Evoke 1200B (which can output a blinding 61,030 lux at 3 meters) it is still a very capable light even at these distances with an official output of 12,940 lux at 3m (the LS 600c Pro only does around 5000 lux at this distance both with the included reflector).
This is a pretty substantial light at 9.54kg/21lbs (with the removable yoke) but you need to add the external power supply which weighs in at 4.5kg/9.92lbs.
The new EVOKE 900C COB
Just like the rest of the Evoke line it uses a proprietary NANLUX NL Mount to attach lighting modifiers. We are not fans of this approach but this is more or less the same with most ~1K pro-COB LED lights these days and since this is designed for bigger productions anyway we don’t see this as a huge issue (especially since the mount is much beefier than Bowens anyway).
If you want to right the head up high you will be happy to know that it comes with a ballast comes with a 7.5m / 25ft DC connection cable and you can get even longer runs if you want. For control, you have more or less all the pro options including DMX/RDM, Art-Net/sACN, LumenRadio CRMX, as well as the NANLINK App.
The light has a huge CCT range of 1,800K to 20,000K with plus and minus Green/Magenta of 200. You have many gel mode options, 15 built-in effects, and much more.

Pricing and availability
As we have noted this is a professional light aimed at larger productions and as such it is more expensive than even the existing Evoke 1200/B variants (it is an advanced high-power RGBLAC after all with very few competitors at the moment) and you can pre-order it for $4660.
