iFootage Electric Ray E1 Can Power Both DSLRs and Mirrorless Cameras

In this video, Caleb Pike from DSLR Video Shooter takes a look at a power solution that is supposedly able to power almost any camera on the market using USB power.

iFootage developed a device called Electric Ray E1 – it is an adapter that connects to a portable USB battery on one side and to a Battery Coupler on the other side (which can connect to many Sony, Canon, Nikon, or Panasonic cameras.

Pike seemed to be very happy with the Electric Ray E1 – using a small Anker USB battery he was able to get almost 2.5 hours of shooting time with the GH5 at max settings which is pretty impressive and using larger USB batteries you can probably get much more (and many of these USB batteries are much less expensive than buying a bunch of regular camera batteries and if you need to shoot a long run without changing the battery – they are a great option.

As for pricing – this is a relatively inexpensive option at under $70 – but keep in mind that you will need to get a USB battery yourself (although most of us already have one anyway and they are not very expensive).
