Ikan Introduce 31-inch Carbon Fiber Slider

Houston based manufacturer ikan announced a new mid size light weight carbon fiber based slider.

The new Carbon Fiber Camera Slider 31 inch (79 cm) model SLD-31 is the third carbon fiber slider from ikan – a trend which started quite a few years ago in tripods and we are now seeing in sliders as well for reduced weight.

Here are some of the specs of this new slider:

Eight sealed bearings on aluminum rollers
Lightweight Carbon Fiber Construction (1.5lbs/0.6 kg).
Supported Camera Weight: 18 lbs/8kg.
Large Slider Rod Diameter (19mm).
Level Outrigger legs
Multiple Threaded Mounts (both 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16).
Included soft transport case.
Price: under $180 (on Amazon).
