First Look: TourBox Photo and Video Editing Controller Another controller option for better editing software workflow

In recent years we have seen more and more controllers for increasing your workflow in different creative applications including photo, video and sound editing. Many of those however have been quite expensive, Ikan recently came out with a more affordable option called the TourBox which features knob, wheel, scroller, and multiple buttons and can work with several popular applications.

Ikan announced the new TourBox creative controller for Photoshop, Lightroom, Davinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cu and more. TourBox is fully customizable and users can assign different functions for different buttons and dials for each application to best adapt to your own personal workflow.

The unit is powered via USB (USB 3.0), measures 117mm x 100mm x 30mm and works with the software on both Windows and macOS.

The different buttons and knobs on the TourBox

The TourBox is far from the first device of its kind we covered here in recent years. Loupedeck has two versions of its controller (the Loupedeck+ and the more recent CT that we covered here and here respectively), Palette was one of the first companies to come up with an advanced programable controller and they have their own modular system, The Elgato has their own controller which known as the Stream Deck and despite having no dials or knobs it is by far our favorite and most versatile controller (see our full review of the Stream Deck XL).

The TourBox is relatively inexpensive at just under $170 and it should be available for immediate purchase on the company’s website.
