Ricoh Theta M15 Hands-On Review

Chris Niccolls from from the Camera Store in Canada had a chance to play with the new Ricoh Theta M15 – a really interesting small camera which allows you to shoot 360 images and videos in a single shot.

About a year ago we looked at the Ricoh Theta and from the looks of it – it seemed like a cool concept with pretty poor early stage implementation. A year has passed and Niccolls decides to take it for a spin and see what changed in terms of the maturity of the product (and software).

From the looks of it the basic idea is still cool and innovative just as it was when it came out but the camera still has some issues that it needs to resolve and it will be interesting to see what the company will be able to do in the next version – especaily if they would listen to some of the reviews and feed back from users (for example SD card support, battery meter etc.).

More details on the Ricoh Theta M15 can be found on Ricoh product page. You can get one if you like the concept (and understand the limitations) on Amazon for under $300.
