Michael Muller: Behind the Scenes Shooting A Rock Climbing Legend

How do you shoot a rock climbing legend? top photographer Michael Muller recently has a shooting session with Alex Honnold – one of the most famous rock climbers in the world for a special issue of Outside magazine.

One of Muller’s ideas was to shoot Honnold as a skyscraper construction worker from the 1930’s (reminiscent of the famous Lunch Atop a Skyscraper by Charles C. Ebbets). This choice was not done by accident – Honnold is planing to scale the world’s second-tallest building on live TV. The video above is a quick look behind-the-scenes of the shoot.
