Just a few weeks ago Adobe celebrated Photoshop’s 25 anniversary. In honor of this joyous event, the good people at CreativeLive asked 8 Photoshop experts to try their hand at Photoshop 1.0 – check out what happened.
The guys over at CreativeLive asked Dave Cross, Jared Platt, Ben Willmore, Chris Orwig, Julieanne Kost, Aaron Nace, Tim Grey, Matt Kloskowski and Jason Hoppe to try and so a simple edit using Photoshop 1.0. The result is well, kind of funny, but it also a testimony to how much the software progressed over the last quarter century.
Last month we published Terry White’s somewhat more successful attempt at using Photoshop 1.0. He also showed how Photoshop 1, which was released in 1990 can actually still do quite a few things despite missing quite a few things that you take for granted today such as – Multiple undo/history, Camera RAW, layers and many more (you can see some of these things in the video above as well.
Jokes aside, we can only imagine how Photoshop will look in 2040…

Haha, would have been a waste of time if you hadn’t asked Aaron to participate in this video.
