Godox MG2400BI & Godox M600R COB Lights (IBC 2023) More powerful lights from Godox

During IBC 2023 Godox introduced several lights which are currently under development. In this video, we will be looking at two of these upcoming lights – the KNOWLED MG2400BI and the KNOWLED M600R.

Godox KNOWLED MG2400BI – More Power – More Capabilities

The MG2400BI will be the most powerful LED produced by Godox so far and one of the most powerful offerings in the industry as a whole. It has a color temperature range of 2700K to 6500K and it uses the Godox G mount used also by the existing 1200Bi Godox light.

This mount has connectors that can transmit information and allow the light to know which type of accessory is connected to it and adjust accordingly. Godox already has several reflectors of different sizes for the G mount as well as a fresnel and we will not be surprised to see more options in the future.

The light will be fully weather-sealed (IP 54) and at the moment is still in the prototype stage and hopefully, it should be available by the end of the year.

KNOWLED M600R – high power RGB COB

Another very interesting prototype shown on IBC 2023 for the first time by Godox is the upcoming M600R. This will be the most powerful RGB COB LED by Godox so far (the company does have a 350W RGB COB LED at the moment.

The M600R will be using the Bowens arm making it extremely versatile, It comes with an 8m cable so it will be very easy to hang the head on a very tall stand.

Just like the MG 2400Bi it is also going to be fully weather-sealed (IP 54). We were also told that Godox is developing a 900W RGB version that will use the G mount (due to thermals), as we have mentioned the M600R uses a more common Bowens mount.

Pricing and availability

As these are prototypes that were shown on IBC there is no pricing and no exact availability of both these lights but we did understand that they should be ready by the end of 2023.
