Clarification: this LensVid Talk was recorded in March 2024 but is only posted now due to scheduling.
Acsoon SEEMO 4K
Earlier this year Acsoon announced a new member of its Seemo family. We have reviewed the original Seemo back in 2022. Since then the company has released a Pro version with some improvements and more recently the Seemo 4K with (surprise surprise) 4K capabilities.
Here is a list of the differences between the 3 models from the Acsoon website:
As for pricing, the Accsoon SeeMo 4K sells for $180.

UGREEN NASync NAS series
Ugreen is known for its various computer accessories, including chargers, battery docks, etc. Now the company has decided to go into the NAS segment of the market with a new line called NASync. This line currently includes 6 models with 2, 4, 6, and 8 bays and an all-flash variant.
So far only a small number of companies have taken part in this segment of the market that requires developing robust and secure software that is constantly evolving. The NASync line includes a very impressive hardware with the top-of-the-line model including a Core i5 12th Gen CPU with dual TB 4 ports dual 10Gbe ports 8GB DD5 with an expandable option and up to 184TB of storage (with SSD caching option).
The most amazing aspect of these drives is the price, the DXP8800 Plus is currently on Kickstarter for under $1000.

Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-400mm f/4-8 VR
Nikon introduced a new zoom lens with a very long reach – the NIKKOR Z 28-400mm f/4-8 VR with a zoom range of over 14X.
While still being an “all-around” style lens Nikon included some of its latest technologies in the lens including:
- 21 elements in 15 groups
- 5.5-stop VR image stabilization (5 stops with cameras that have no IBIS)
- Zoom lock switch.
- 9-bladed diaphragm
- 77mm filter thread
- square lens hood (allows zooming operation when inverted)
- Weather-sealed construction
As for pricing, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-400mm f/4-8 VR sells for around $1300.

Godox BeamLight Max90
It is rare that we do not have a Godox product announced for LensVid Talk and this time around we have a very big one – the Godox Beamlight MAX90. This behemoth is basically a giant spotlight (the first thing that came to mind when we saw it was a light tower).
While this might very well have uses outside the cinema world, for high-end commercial and film productions this can be used with reflectors when a huge amount of light is needed or a specific effect is needed.
The modifer has a G-mount and connects to the most powerful lights in the Godox line including the MG2400Bi KNOWLED light.
The Godox BeamLight Max90 sells for $7500.

SYNCO G3 Pro wireless triple mic system
We have seen the SYNCO G3 in IBC 2022 and now the company is preparing the G3 Pro to be released. We don’t have too much information about the new version aside from the fact that it is going to be very similar to the original G3 with 3 mics (two transmitters and one in the receiver) with a large touch monitor and a price of around $150.
At the moment it seems that the G3 Pro is still in development and it does not appear on the Synco website but you can see a report on it on the CineD website.
Logitech Mevo Core Camera
Logitech recently expanded its Mevo webcam series with the Mevo Core, the first dedicated webcam/streaming camera with a micro 4/3 sensor and interchange lenses.
The Mevo Core has a built-in Wi-Fi 6E and can control many Mevo Core cameras with the Mevo Multicam app. It can capture content in 4K30p and stream it in 1080p30 directly to YouTube, Twitch, and other such services.
The camera was tested to work with several micro 4/3 zoom lenses including power zoom lenses that can be fully controlled from the app such as the Olympus 14-42mm EZ, Lumix 14-42mm PZ and Lumix 45-175mm PZ.
The camera sells for just under $1000 and you can find it and some kit options on B&H.
Poor Things Behind the Scenes
The 2023 film Poor Things was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and written by Tony McNamara and is based on the 1992 novel by the same name written by Alasdair Gray. The plot includes a mad scientist who resurrects a pregnant woman with the brain of her unborn fetus.
The YouTube channel StudioBinder analyzed the film and its unique cinematography including the camera and lenses used for the production as well as the very complex (and colorful) costumes and stages.
We highly suggest that you watch the entire StudioBinder episode on YouTube.

Adobe Project Music GenAI Control
Adobe has been in the news recently quite a bit (not all positive, but that is a different story). One thing currently under development at Adobe is an AI technology for creating music using prompts.
We don’t have too much info about it at the moment besides this (very bizarre) video:

Eleven Labs AI VFX for audio
Our final story for LensVid Talk 21 is another AI audio project and this time it is from Eleven Labs. The project which is still in development is currently known as the Eleven Labs AI VFX for audio and you can see the demo the company did based on the video AI film created earlier this year by Sora.
The audio effects and voice were made by Eleven Labs AI
