SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports review
Later this week we plan to release a full review of the Sigma updated 60-600mm Sports lens designed for mirrorless cameras. We had a discussion about this lens in our talk but if you are really interested make sure you stick around for the full review here on LensVid very soon.
Lushfoil Photography Sim
We all are familiar with first-person shooter games but how about a different take on this concept where you do not use a gun but actually a camera. This is the idea behind an upcoming game called Lushfoil Photography Sim. We have very little information on this upcoming game (like what type of gameplay we are going to see and what types of challenges will the player face) but the visuals and music in the trailer seem nice.
If you are into a different sort of computer game you can follow the development of the game on Steam.

INSTA360 GO Cat Camera
Our friends from DIYPhotography recently published an article covering a video made by Corridor Crew about a project which includes a DIY cat harness for the new Insta 360 GO 3 tiny camera which can be used on a cat or dog to follow their daily routine.
We have seen this sort of pet camera project before but with the new GO 3 it is so easy to set everything up and watch and it seems not to bother the cat too much as he was roaming around the farm going into all sorts of places (and even encountering a mouse/rat). God check out the video below if you ant to see what a cat does on a farm from the cat’s point of view.

retouch4.me – Photoshop Plugins
Fstoppers recently posted a video review of the retouch4.me AI retouch plugins for Photoshop.
We have seen an endless number of plugins for Photoshop over the years and recently also quite a few “AI” powered plugins. retouch4.me offers a suit that can include up to 11 plugins (at the moment) among which you can find a few interesting ones (at least in our opinion) such as fabric smoother, backdrop cleaner, and skin healer.
Although there is nothing that you can do for yourself with Photoshop on its own, if you are editing multiple images on a regular base such an automatic tool can (at least in theory) save you a lot of editing time. We might try this in the future and get back to you with our own opinion on this plugin set which can get quite pricey.

ON1 Photo Keyword AI
Talking about AI, ON1 recently released an interesting piece of software called Photo Keyword AI. Software and online services which can catalog images based on different subjects/objects are nothing new (we can remember a few of those going back years), however, it now seems that this trend is increasing with more features and better accuracy.
The new ON1 solution is software (which we prefer to an online service for security reasons) and can recognize quite a few different objects and tag the images which can be very useful. We have yet to test this software ourselves although there is a 30-day trial version so you can check it out for yourself.

Motion Array on How To Use AI To Make video backgrounds
In a recent video by Motion Array (we have been using their service for several years for both audio and templates) you can see a pretty simple technique for using AI (in this case using Photoshop’s Beta Generative Fill feature) to create a background for videos.
The result can look pretty realistic and be used for videos where there is a boring background and add some interest to the shot. You can also increase the frame to create a completely new frame (and in theory even increase the resolution (just keep in mind that the Generative Fill in the current Beta version of Photoshop is pretty limited when it comes to resolution but this is likely to change in the final release).

Laowa Aurogon 10-50X Microscope adaptors
Venus Optics’ brand Laowa announced a new set of microscope adaptors that can magnify from 10X up to 50X called Aurogon. If you consider a macro lens as 1:1 magnification and a typical super macro between 2:1 and 5:1 than these microscope adaptors are between 10:1 and 50:1 magnification.
They come in different mounts (EF/RF/F/Z/E/L/G/PL) with a relatively long working distance (for more continent light placement and the kit has 4 units (10x/20x/35x and 50x). The full name of this product is Aurogon FF 10-50X NA0.5 Supermicro APO Candle Dragon Eye and at the moment the only official info that we have on them comes from the Welbo Laowa lens page.
Westcott ProGrip 2
Westcott recently announced a new grip designed for holding flashes and strobes (up to 2.7kg). The unit is made of Lightweight, durable nylon and includes a 9mm umbrella mount as well as 1/4″ 20 screw for smaller strobes and a cold shoe for flashes.
The only thing which seems missing is a better way of mounting this grip into a light stand and maybe a better option to connect larger strobes that require a baby pin.
The ProGrip 2 Handheld Off-Camera Flash Mount can be found on B&H.

FXLION NANO Wireless V-Mount Batteries
FXLION announced a new series of compact v-mount batteries with a number of interesting features including D-tap (one or two depending on the model), USB-A and micro USB as well as a USB-C PD (up to 60W with 20A/3V).
Each of the three variants (50Wh/8A, 98Wh/10A, and 150Wh/12A) has a screen and button for showing the battery status) as well as a built-in protection circuit for over-current, over-charge, over-discharge, and over-heat.
The wireless aspect of the new batteries is their ability to perform wireless charge for smartphones up to 15W (on the top part of the battery).

Tilta L Series Battery Plate
Finally, we have another battery accessory this time from Tilta which released a new L series battery plate that has some interesting features.
First and foremost this plate has bi-directional fast charging via USB-C – this means that you can output USB-C PD but also charge the L battery connected to the unit via USB-C PD up to 18W. It also has USB-A and DC out ports (8V and 12V as well as a 4 LED series for battery status.
One last useful addition is a tool-free assembly with a 1/4″ 20 screw with a D-ring that has locating pins to prevent twisting – very useful.
