Brinno TLC-5000 Camera Review
We recently published our review of the Brinno TLC-5000 (and BCC5000 kit), an advanced ultra-long battery life 4K time lapse camera. This unit is designed for the construction industry (to shoot long construction projects); however, this camera proved to be much more, with potential to shoot many other things, including DIY projects, conferences, and a whole lot of BTS footage from different productions.

Sony A7R VI, Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5 GM OSS and XLR-A4 32bit unit
The new Sony A7R VI has a new 66.8MP fully-stacked Exmor RS sensor, BIONZ XR2 processor with built-in AI, blackout-free 30 fps continuous RAW shooting, RAW Pre-Capture up to 1 second, Dual Gain architecture for 16-stop dynamic range, upgraded 8.5-stop center IBIS, 3x brighter 9.44M-dot HDR EVF, illuminated buttens, crop-free 4K 120p and 8K 30p video, internal 4-channel 32-bit float audio with the new Sony XLR-A4unit and front tally light – a first of a non video centric Sony camera.

The Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5 GM OSS is a premium super-telephoto zoom lens designed for professionals who require high-speed performance and exceptional image quality for wildlife, sports, and action photography. A key upgrade in this model is its constant f/4.5 maximum aperture throughout the entire zoom range, which allows for consistent exposure and better low-light performance compared to traditional variable-aperture zooms. The lens features an advanced internal zoom and focus design that keeps the barrel length fixed, improving handling and balance while reducing physical stress. Powered by four XD (extreme dynamic) linear motors, the autofocus system is exceptionally fast—reportedly up to 3x faster than its predecessor—and capable of tracking subjects at high-speed bursts up to 120 fps. Built to G Master standards, it incorporates specialized XA and ED glass elements to deliver superb sharpness and smooth bokeh, while its robust, dust- and moisture-resistant construction, combined with an Optical SteadyShot (OSS) stabilization system, ensures reliability and clarity in challenging outdoor conditions.

Canon R6V
The new R6V from Canon is an advanced FF “vlogging” camera equiped with a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor, 7K 30p RAW Open Gate recording, 7K 60p Cinema RAW Light internal recording, built-in active cooling fan for extended recording times, flat low-profile design no EVF for gimbal optimization, native side-mounted vertical tripod socket with auto-rotating vertical UI, integrated physical zoom lever around the top record button, upgraded dual slots featuring 1x CFexpress Type B and 1x SD UHS-II, uncropped 4K 120p video, Dual Pixel CMOS AF II.
The new camera is priced at $2500.
Panasonic Lumix L10
A new compact fixed lens camera with a 20.4MP Multi-Aspect Four Thirds BSI CMOS sensor, integrated Leica DC Vario-Summilux 24-75mm f/1.7-2.8 zoom lens, Phase Hybrid AF with 779 focus points and AI subject recognition, up to 30 fps electronic continuous shooting, 5.6K 60p and uncropped DCI 4K 120p video, 4:3 Open Gate video with a dedicated MP4 Lite social-sharing mode, a hardware Real Time LUT button for in-camera color profile loading, new film-inspired L.Classic and L.ClassicGold Photo Styles, 2.36m-dot OLED EVF paired with a 1.84m-dot free-angle screen and an auto-rotating vertical UI, high-capacity DMW-BLK22 battery providing up to 420 shots per charge.
The Panasonic Lumix L10 sells for a price of $1500.
Insta360 Luna Ultra
Insta 360 released a dual-lens setup mini gimbal camera co-engineered with Leica featuring a 1″ 8K main sensor and a 1/1.3″ telephoto sensor, 8K 30fps video recording with Dolby Vision, pro-grade telephoto lens supporting 6x lossless zoom and 12x digital zoom with telephoto macro, Triple AI Chip architecture (one 4nm flagship AI chip and two dedicated imaging chips), innovative detachable 2″ OLED touchscreen with 20-meter HD wireless transmission and built-in mic, 4K 60fps PureVideo mode for elite low-light performance, 10-bit I-Log color profile with up to 14 stops of dynamic range, Deep Track 5.0 with advanced Auto/Group Tracking and Active Zoom, high-resolution 200MP Scenic Panorama mode, 47GB of built-in internal storage.

Leica SL3-P: Resolution + Speed + Design

Cooke AP3 anamorphic prime series
Coocke announced a new series of anamorphic lenses with true 1.5x anamorphic squeeze factor optimized for full-frame mirrorless sensors, uniform fast T2.4 maximum aperture across all focal lengths, ground-up compact and lightweight housing (1.2 to 1.4 kg) tailored for handheld and gimbal workflows, native Sony E-mount with a user-interchangeable mount system (RF, L, and M mounts available), signature “Cooke Look” with deep and organic horizontal flare patterns, exceptional center-frame sharpness with highly controlled anamorphic artifacts, smooth organic focus falloff with minimal focus breathing, painterly out-of-focus elements and elliptical bokeh consistent across all stops, standardized 0.8 MOD geared focus and iris rings, unified physical design featuring an 87mm front diameter and M82 filter threads. Samyang/Schneider 60-180mm F2.8 FE

7Artisans announced a new series of compact cine lenses with three initial focal lengths at launch (35mm, 50mm, and 75mm), fast constant T1.5 maximum aperture across the entire lineup, oversized 43.5mm image circle for complete full-frame coverage, multi-mount versatility with native Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Leica L options, unified mechanical chassis with identical gear ring placement for rapid lens swaps, long 300-degree focus throw for precise manual adjustments, stepless de-clicked aperture rings for fluid exposure transitions, industry-standard M0.8 gear pitch on both focus and iris rings, standardized 82mm front filter thread size across all three models, optically optimized for minimized focus breathing, controlled edge fall-off, and high-blade-count organic bokeh.
