Benny Migs: Modern Pin-Up Photography

On this behind-the-scenes video by F.J. Westcott and photographer Benny Migs, we look at capturing modern pin-up portraits outdoors.

In order to light both the pin up model and a vintage car Migs needed a strong and large light source and so he used the Westcott Strobelite Plus as his key light, modified by a 7′ Parabolic Umbrella with front diffusion. This combination resulted in a large light source, that illuminated both his model and the vintage car in the scene.

This is definitely not the first pin up model shoot that we have been covering here on LensVid. Two years ago photographer Aaron Nace did a great “Behind The Scene: Newfangled Pinup Girl” photoshoot.
