When the D800 was first introduced in early 2012 many people were wondering is this the high res medium format killer the 35mm market was looking for all those years. In April of 2012 Chris Niccolls from The Camera Store in Canada decided to compare the D800 to a more or less similar modern medium format camera (in terms of resolution at least) – the Hasselblad H4D 40 Megapixel camera. Test also involved professional photographers Michelle Ramberg and Dale Roth – the results are defiantly interesting and still very relevant to any pro photographer who might consider medium format.
