During NAB 2015 Fotodiox showed several interesting prototype from its growing FlapJack LED line. The new versions seems to be (much) larger but most of them keep the special design which we have seen in the original FlapJack lights as well as the ability to power them using batteries.
The original FlapJack lights (which we covered here) were innovative, however they were generally pretty small. Fotodiox listed to its users who apparently wanted larger lights and during NAB this year showcased many new models which should be ready before the end of the year in a much larger form factor (we were especially impressed by the huge circular FlapJack design shown during the video).
Prices are not clear at this point but Bohuš Blahut from Fotodiox mentioned ~$700 as a number that might be relevant (although it isn’t clear about which of the lights he was talking about).
