Fujifilm X-E3 Hands-On Review

Our friends and colleagues Chris Niccolls from the Camera Store had a chance to take a quick look at the new Fuji X-E3 camera.

The new Fuji X-E3 is a somewhat different version of the X-T20 – both have the same sensor but a different body. The X-E3 has a side viewfinder and no flash as well as a fixed touch screen but no control pad (which seems to be a bit strange) and the menus do not work with the touchscreen so you need to use the new small joystick.

The focusing seems to be really good on this camera – even better than the X-T20 with some new algorithms (at least until Fujifilm will update the firmware of that last one).

The 4K video on this camera has no cropping but it is a bit softer than the really excellent video quality of the X-T2 – but is still pretty nice.

As for pricing – the new Fuji X-E3 sells for just under $900 while the X-T20 sells for $800.
