Kupo Introduces New Adapters

In preparation for the upcoming NAB 2016 show starting next week, Taiwan based studio accessory manufacturer Kupo introduced three new small but potentially useful adapters for studio work – the Roly Poly Counterbalanced Umbrella Swivel Bracket, the Baby Ball Head Adapter and the Baby Adapter for Elinchrom heads.

We are going to start seeing quite a few new studio and video oriented products in the very near future and these are among the first to be announced for NAB this year. These are pretty straightforward units – the Roly Poly Counterbalanced Umbrella Swivel Bracket is maybe the most innovative as it gives (as the names implies) a counterbalance bracket designed to protect your speedlite from falling over. The baby ball head adapter is pretty self explanatory and the baby adapter for the Elinchrom is designed to prevent work effectively with Elinchrom heads, when mounting them on C-Stands or stands with longer than normal Ansi Standard 5/8″ (16mm) spigots.

Just a few days ago we published a short review of the Kupo Click Stand which we are hoping to review ourselves later this year. We also recently had our own extensive video on photography and videography adapters (threaded ones this time) which you might want to check out if you are looking for a specific adapter or just want to know which adapters you can find that can help you with your work.

We will be checking with Kupo regarding pricing and availability and update accordingly.
