Martin Schoeller: The Power of Photography to Relate

Portrait photographer Martin Schoeller recently had this short talk at National Geographic Live! about some of his uniquely styled works. Schoeller, one of today’s most well known and respected portrait photographers is known  in particular for his hyper-detailed close ups (some of them of very famous people – such as President Obama – who’s picture Schoeller took 3 times – as a senator, candidate and president).

We here at LensVid love Schoeller’s work and already published his  behind the scenes video on “Shooting for Time Magazine 100 Honorees of the Year” as well as “The Making of “Identical: Portraits of Twins”” – a topic which he also briefly discusses in the National Geographic Live! talk.

You can watch more videos of interesting photographers on our photographer section here on LensVid.
