In this Leica video, well known American photojournalist Mary Ellen Mark describes capturing iconic photos, pushing one’s limits and finding intimacy in a shot.
Throught her long and prolific photographic career Ellen’s works touched many social issues including homelessness, drug addiction, and prostitution as well as children and teenagers. She works primarily in black and white and used a Leica camera for many years.
