Blueshape Smart Pocket V-Mount And B-Mount Batteries With Wireless Technology (IBC 2024)

During IBC 2024 Italian manufacturer Blueshape showcased a large number of new battery products as well as accessories and accompanying software to monitor and help diagnose different types of batteries.

GRANITE SMART B-mount

The first line that was introduced by the company is the Blueshape Granite Smart B-mount batteries. This is the second generation of B-mount batteries announced by Blueshape (we covered the first generation in IBC 2023) and they include 4 different batteries with capacities ranging from 145Wh to 435Wh.

The batteries have a shock-proof construction with IP54 rainproof build made with 21700 high energy cells and touch LED controls. Each one of the batteries also has two 16V D-Taps (max output of 80W) and a single USBC-PD (5V~20V up to 65W).

Finally, the new line also includes wireless communication. This allows the user to view the status of the battery using the GRANITE SMART app (available for both iOS and Android).

Pricing is between $400-$900.

The new GRANITE SMART B-mount series

SMART POCKET V-Lock

The second line is something that we have been waiting for from Blueshape for a while and that is a new series of mini V-mount and a whole host of compatible accessories.

The new Smart Pocket V-lock series currently includes 3 models:

BV075pocket – 75Wh model.
BV145pocket – 145Wh model.
BV220pocket – 220Wh model.

Each of these batteries uses 21700 high energy cells, has LED touch control, is IP54 rated, and has two D-taps plus a USB-C PD 5V~20V up to 100W bi-directional for both powering accessories and charging the battery.

The new series supports the GRANITE SMART app just like the new B-mount batteries.

There will also be a large number of accessories including different plates some with belt clips, cheese plates etc., and with extra D-taps and USB-C PD ports. There are also a host of USB-C PD dummy batteries.

The batteries should be available soon and pricing is set at $340 for the BV075pocket, $420 for the BV145pocket and $490 for the BV220pocket model.

SMARTMon software

Both lines of batteries also support Blueshape’s SMARTMon software (currently only for PC). This unique software allows the user to check the status of each connected battery (via USB-C) in great detail including the battery history.

It also allows the user to perform operations on the battery including updating the firmware and turning on/off what is known as battery “Ship Mode,” which sets the battery into a deep sleep state, blocks discharging or use until the battery is “awakened” by charging it, preserving the battery during long-term storage or rendering it safe for shipping.

You can also contact support from the software and it will automatically send all the battery data to Blueshape without needing to send it to a repair center.
