Panasonic FZ2500 (FZ2000) Hands-On Test

On this video our friend and colleague Chris Niccolls from the Camera Store looks at the new FZ2500 (aka FZ2000 in some countries) and how it compares to the Sony RX10 II/III.

The FZ2500 which was announced back in Photokina 2016 (see our video on it from the show) is a very interesting hybrid stills/video camera with a long zoom – just like the FZ1000 before it but with some important improvements including 24-280 f/2.8-f/4.5 lens with very similar video capabilities to the GH4 (but of course with the fixed lens and a 1″ sensor with 21MP). Panasonic also added built in ND filters it also has mic/headphones jacks and  live 4K out as well as side loading SD card.

Niccolls seemed impressed with the camera as an overall solution for many types of users and maybe the only drawback is the small sensor which leads to limited performance in low light.

Pricing for the FZ2000/FZ2500 stands at $1500.
