The guys at COOPH just published an interesting and fun short video showing how the same model looks when shot with different cameras from different time periods and with appropriate looks.
The following “historical” journey was done by COOPH photographer Leo Rosas and it looks at the evolution of the camera & portrait through the last two (maybe more) centuries. One shoot, one model (sometimes with a number of images) and some appropriate music to go along with the images.
Here are the cameras in order of appearance:
- Pinhole
- Daguerrotype
- Calotype
- Ambrotype
- Leica 35mm
- Polaroid
- Lomography
- Disposable
- SLR
- DSLR
- Smartphone
