Panono – the 72 Megapixels Throwable Panoramic Ball Camera

Panono is a new project up for crowdfunding on IndieGogo aimed at bringing the first affordable throwable panoramic ball camera with no less than 72 megapixels created from automatic stitching of 36 different tiny cameras.

The Panono which had a prototype shown back in 2011, shoot simultaneously with all its cameras when the ball is in the air to capture everything in every direction. The project is extremely ambitious and the developers are looking to raise $900k at a price of around $550 a  unit. If you are willing to “throw away” that much money on a throrowable high res panoramic camera – check out the project IndieGogo page.
