Chris Burkard: Surfing the Ends of the Earth

Photographer Chris Burkard together with a team of Professional surfers went out to the frozen Arctic Circle on one of the harshest environments on the planet for an amazing photoshoot – here are the results.

Burkard is a cold weather fanatic and for him the harsh climate of the arctic is a huge turn on. Bringing the surfers to this kind of weather was a harder task – they are used to the warm climate of California and here they had to coope with freezing cold temperatures walking in deep snow until they can get into the ocean and then handle the super cold waters.

This is the third video we bring to you from Photo-sharing site SmugMug. The previous video also looked at amazing and risky photographers who traveled to the far corner of the world – Lava Light – Water & Fire with Photographers CJ Kale and Nick Selway from Lava Light in Hawaii.
