The Iceland Trifecta - Climbing The Ice

Photographer Tim Kemple and several master climbers go on a death-defying adventure in Iceland. This is the background to this inspiring 16 min video that we could not stop watching by Kevin Harrington of SmugMug.

Iceland has some of the most amazing views anywhere in the world and for ice climbers it is both a dream and a nightmare. The team chase the melting ice and go to explore a semi alien landscape to find the most amazing location for ice climbing – some of them extremely dangerous as can be seen in the video.

The team also prepared a behind the scenes video which shows how this amazing video was created and some of the challenges they faced and the way the video and some of the images were taken in this harsh environment.
